Special Interest Group (SIG): Post-Normal takes on Science, Technology and Policy for Sustainability
Invitation to participate in a meeting with the Special Interest Group (SIG): Post-Normal takes on Science, Technology and Policy for Sustainability.
Tidspunkt
27.01.2022 kl. 15.30 - 17.00
Beskrivelse
Post-normal science (PNS) is a paradigm that helps researchers, civil servants, decision-makers, consultants and practitioners navigate situations with high levels of uncertainty and decision stakes, where values are in dispute and action is urgent. Consequently, multiple perspectives on scientific processes in post normal contexts and the involvement of extended peer communities (EPCs) is called for. In post-normal science, extended peer communities may comprise all stakeholders effected by potential action. The purpose of this SIG is to explore and critically reflect upon the existing and emergent PNS knowledgebase, and to create a forum for sharing PNS related insights, experiences, ideas and inspiration.
Presentation:
- Presentation title: Teaching normative literacy in STEM classrooms: A practical manifestation of the PNS spirit?
- Presenter: Jan Mehlich
- Affiliation: Center for Life Ethics, Rheinische Wilhelmsuniversität, Bonn
Everybody interested is welcome.
